Program
Description and Applicant Eligibility
The Anchorage Democrats “Community Action Fund” is made possible from proceeds raised through Alaska’s Charitable Gaming program, through the Alaska Democratic Party.
The Anchorage Democrats Community Action Fund is intended to support local initiatives that demonstrate a benefit to the greater Anchorage community. Applicants can be individuals, businesses or non-profit organizations that reside within the municipality of Anchorage. The applicant should clearly articulate how funds will be used, and how the use of funds will benefit the community.
Funds may be used to support social, artistic, recreational, or educational related initiatives. Funds may not be used to cover debt, taxes, interest payments or other similar financial liabilities. Use of funds are subject to State of Alaska Statute and Regulations governing “Games of Chance and Skill”; AS 05.15.
Funds must be fully distributed by the end of the calendar year, following the year in which they were earned (see application for specific deadline).
